About Future Scholars

Future Scholars Childcare is a high-quality home-based early education program that offers a play-based environment with an academic focus. High-quality childcare is linked to healthy childhood development and school readiness. We believe our local childcare program can provide families with peace of mind and a home away from home for their young ones in a small group setting. Supporting families in our community is our top priority. Our Founder & Lead Educator’s focus is to act as co-learners with the children while supporting their social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development. We believe in helping families support, guide, and shape the children’s future as lifelong learners. Our goal is to help the children become a scholar within their own world. Working in partnership with families, we aim to help support the children understand and explore the world around them with confidence.

About Our Program

We offer an enriched program catered to children from the ages 18 months to 5 years of age. This early education program is a mix of free play and guided play. Free play is child-directed, voluntary, internally motivated and pleasurable. Guided play is activities that incorporate some level of adult involvement to embed or extend additional learning opportunities within the play itself.  This curriculum is designed to have children learn through relationships, family and their environment. This pedagogy allows educators to focus on interrelationships in the setting of early learning.

Many families are now seeking home childcare providers to allow their child or children to connect, learn, and grow in a smaller group setting. Smaller group settings allow for more one-to-one correspondence and deeper learning for the children. In a home-based environment, the educator can address gaps in the children's knowledge and developmental level and individualize each activity to suit their needs and interests. It allows children to learn cooperation skills, teamwork skills, and social skills. This type of environment is also beneficial to the children as the children come from different developmental stages. The age groups of the children will be Toddler and Preschool. This mixed age group setting establishes a sense of uniqueness to each child, supports their cooperative skills rather than competitiveness, helps the children build confidence, and introduces new ways to develop and grow.
